Reverend Roy Brown has served at Second Baptist church over 15 years, where he oversees the Nursing Home Ministry at Swope Ridge Nursing home. He visits there every 4th Sunday. In addition, every Sunday at the Church he contributes to Sunday School Class Number Two and on Wednesdays at noon he is part of a Bible Study Class and he leads the Praise and Worship Services.
Reverend Brown is a retired disabled veteran with a Purple Heart received for his service in Vietnam. In 1996, he graduated with honors from Agape School of World Evangelism in Little Rock, Arkansas. One year later God called him to preach the Gospel. He was licensed at Fellowship Missionary Baptist church in Little Rock where he worked nearly 10 years under the leadership of Pastor James T. Phillip. His ministerial credentials are on file in the Pulaski County Clerk’s office in Little Rock.
Reverend Brown has preached throughout Arkansas, Alabama and Missouri. He says he thanks God for everyone who opens their doors for him to preach. He also says he knows and loves the lord and plans to serve him now and forever more.
